Hello World!

There’s so much MORE out there!

I’ve stepped way out of my comfort zone this summer.  Up until recently, I’ve tended to be a home-body, stressed and worried about bills, and the mundane routines of making a house and having a family and a job.

So far this summer, I’ve taken a weekend trip to meet my husband’s friend and his family (whom I’ve never met) and found a soul sister.  I’ve camped (with air mattresses, but yes – tent camping).

I’ve flown (alone) to LA for a personal development opportunity,

and in an hour or so, we’re leaving on a road trip to Georgia, where my oldest daughter will be hanging out with my Aunt for a few weeks.

And there’s still more to see!

I’m excited about the growth and changes I’ve experienced in such a short period of time. Remember:

Anxiety is anticipating a future with a negative outcome

Excitement is anticipating a future with a positive outcome

While modern medicine has provided numerous opportunities to medicate our anxiety, the fact is – you have a choice.  You hold the power to view your future with a positive or a negative outcome.  Flip that switch.  Try this:

“Things do not happen TO me, they happen FOR me”

You can replace “things” with your situation and feel the shift.  Here’s an example:

My divorce from my first husband didn’t happen TO me, it happened FOR me. I saw him yesterday briefly and we discussed how time flies, as it was my 9th wedding anniversary with my current hubby.  This would be our 16th anniversary year had we stayed together.  However, we’ve grown so much, and found new loves that make our individual lives so much better.  I’m grateful for the experience of having grown because of our incompatibility.

And, with recent events that may seem like the world is falling apart, keep this in mind:

With so much love for all of you on this amazing journey with me, until next time,

A Beautiful Mess.
