Wouldn’t it be grand if someone could just give us the answer when we’re unsure? We could just ask, and know. We could just be able to go somewhere for guidance and hear all of the echos of the ones we’re around in agreement with whoever gave an answer.
We want to know that we’re making the ‘right’ choice.
Let’s be real though – we really want someone to do the work for us.
If someone ELSE tells us what to do – and it ends up being a disaster, it’s all their fault. If it ends up being a success, we can thank them and be forever indebted to their divine wisdom. If we made the decision and it was ‘wrong’ – all the more power to Negative Nelly (read more about her here). If we make the ‘right’ choice – Wow – must be a fluke huh??
We learn to shut off our intuition and before we know it, we’re asking everyone else what we should do… Should I wear this necklace? Should I take this purse? Should I leave this relationship? Do you like this outfit? or this one? Next thing you know you’re so busy asking other people, you forget what your own voice sounds like. WE don’t do the work necessary to make the decision ourselves – and that’s a necessary life skill.
Your intuition will always have the ‘right’ answer.
It might not be the easy answer, or the popular one – but it will be the right one – for you – where you are at that moment. As I reflect on most of the life-altering decisions I’ve made, many of the ones that seemed like they were going to destroy me – were ones in which I tuned out or turned off my intuition.
It’s not hard to listen to her again though. In fact, all it takes is a few deep breaths, and for you to listen to your soul.
Trust her. She’s got your back.
Do you have a story about a time you listened or didn’t listen to your intuition that you want to share? Please leave a comment below! I’d love to hear your thoughts on listening to your soul.
If you aren’t comfortable leaving a comment, and/or are struggling to tune in to your intuition, give this post a ‘like’ and hit me up on Facebook or via email to tell me about your experiences <3
